I typically use the code from http://access.mvps.org/access/api/api0001.htm . You can call the function from the click of a command button. The function returns the file path and name. You can then set the value of your text box to the returned value.

In a form by clicking on a button linked to a field (called FileNameField)I want to open Windows Explorer, go to a folder and select a file. Clicking on the file should result in copying path and file name into a filenamefield on the form. HOw do I do this in VBA
