You need to write code behind a command button that either calls the Windows
Open File dialog directly or uses the Office File System Object. You can find
sample code to call the Windows Open File dialog here:

If you call it correctly, it'll return the file and path selected by the user,
and you can use that to update your field.

In a form by clicking on a button linked to a field (called FileNameField)I want
to open Windows Explorer, go to a folder and select a file. Clicking on the file
should result in copying path and file name into a filenamefield on the form.
