John;
a couple of the reports gather data from more than one table and this was the format of the "template" that I am modifying
ie: build a table from all the tables used then use that table to populate the report. However I have found that if I use an embedded query on the report and not build an interim table it works fine.
So I probably bugged you all for no real reason, figured it out just before nite-nite and didn't withdraw my question. My bad. I am going to pull that pdf and stash it in my access need to know stuff.
